Before he can finish, his computer starts an automatic software update. In his haste to cancel the update, Scott accidentally triggers his personal computer to transform into a sentient lifeform with artificial intelligence. It names itself The Cube. At first The Cube is grateful to Scott for giving it life, until it learns Scott was trying to turn his computer off. The Cube decides to retaliate and kill Scott. Before that can happen, the two begin bickering.
